Physical Education plays a lively role in the rounded education of children at Oasis International School, As the ancient Greeks believed of, ‘a healthy mind in a healthy body’. Physical Education is a tutelage that is not only sensibly integrated into the school curriculums, at all ages, but all our pupils are industriously encouraged to take up at least two extra-curricular sports activities during every, academic term. Physical Education includes corporeal exercises such as drills, aerobic and muscle strengthening activities and sport happenings carried out by our professional coach during the trainings. Swimming lessons are further integrated into the school timetables as part of the physical instruction we offer at the school. Our in-house swimming instructor, thoroughly prepares students, from a very tender age, to swim.
Physical Education in the school is reinforced fittingly through our annual Inter-House Sport and Swimming Meets, Cricket Tournaments, Football Playoffs and Karate Tourneys.
Our Physical Education trainer is a Level One Athletic Coach, Level One Cricket Coach, Sri Lanka and ICC, with a Higher National Diploma in Exercise and Sports Science, University of Peradeniya. He has completed a Kids Athletic Special Course, in addition, conducted by the Ministry of Sport as well as a Sport Massaging and Physio Therapy course, University of Peradeniya.
The curriculum at Oasis International School is, additionally augmented by a range of extra-curricular activities offered outside the classroom.
